How Long would you wait to get pregnant after a miscarriage

hey ladies, so my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for over a year. we have a 4 year old and we though it was time for another baby! in the beginning of December i found out i was 2 months pregnant. i gave the news to my husband christmas day. and that same day i had a misccarriage. i had my D& C done.. dr said i could get pregnant after my first period, which just ended yesturday. but im afraid to have another misccarriage.. any advice????
