HELP. Is 10/hr working as a nanny to watch 3 kids plus me bringing my own fair?

I got a nanny job watching a newborn, 19 month old and 7 year old (when out of school until parents get home) plus I'll be bringing my 16 month old so the two can play. is 10 an hour for 30-45 hours a week fair.... I'd usually ask more but since I'm able to bring my son..... thoughts?!? also, I'm bringing our own food and diapers....

If you agreed in that yes. It's not fair to change your mind after you agreed to that. That's what pre negotiating is for. Unless you have been with them for awhile and things have recently changed it's not right to just change your mind. If you're not happy with that then maybe you should find another job.

Girl I make 10/hr working with 8 toddlers every day...then my wages get cut because my daughter is in the center I work at so i lose 500$/month after that. I would say you’re pretty lucky to make that and be with your own child all day..

it would be hard for me to allow the nanny to bring their own children I think naturally my children wouldn't get preferential attention... so I would take that agreement as a win

I think getting paid a little bit more would be ideal, but if you already agreed to it, I would try it out and then if you still think you should be paid more, then ask for more. You should always ask for what you believe your worth. Don’t sell yourself short.

It depends on where you live and what the job market is like there. How much experience you have, if you have your own car, education level, what chores/job expectations do they have other then you watching their children, etc.

I take my 16 month old with me to watch an 18 month old, they are best friends!! Mom is working from home and breast feeding. I get -11.50 an hour, she offered 10 but wanted me to have a 1099 set up so I had to pay social security and Medicaid so I asked for an additional 15%. It’s easier to feed them the same snacks and food so we just trade off buying food for them. They are both cloth diapered so I just bring what I need.

Any questions about wages depends on where you live. Ask around to others doing similar jobs to determine if your pay is fair. If you’ve already agreed, don’t go back on it, though. Wait until you’ve been there awhile and ask for a raise if you feel confident that it’s something you deserve. It’s good they let you bring your LO with you and considering that, I’d be careful about asking for too much. Thankfully, you don’t have to pay for someone  to watch your kiddo.

If you can bring your own child I think that is a fair price. I personally wouldn’t hire a nanny who brought their own child with and pay a top amount (no offense, I just think your attention would be divided from the child I would be paying you to watch). Just think what you would be paying if you didn’t bring your child with and had to pay for care, then add that amount to your pay and look at it like a benefit

FYI she chose me because my child is close in age to hers and that it'd be easier for me because they would entertain eachother.
