Depression/anxiety tablets and pregnant?

I've just called for the doctor to give me a call. I've found out I'm 4 weeks 4 days pregnant with my second and I'm currently taking Fluoxitine, it's an antidepressant which is used for severe anxiety (I have horrendous anxiety because my son has a life limited illness) 
But has anyone been on this and their baby been ok? If the doctor says its dangerous then I'll stop it straight away, but I'm scared I've caused harm already 😭

If he does have you stop it, he should taper you off of it. The side effects of just stopping cold turkey are worse. Good luck momma!

My doctor (psychiatrist) switched my medicine for anxiety to something that was safer but said I would have to be off of it for the third trimester. I weened off and was doing really bad and I talked to my gyno and she said she would have kept me on since what’s happening now out weighs the risks so she put me back on. So it may depend on how good or bad you’ll do with stress and anxiety off of the medicine. I just have to go in for a fetal echo in a few weeks to make sure everything looks okay- they said they do this with everyone on meds.

you will have to go off of it. its prozac...I think. can cause pulmonary hypertension in the fetus later on. I had to stop taking mine.
