Would you pierce your baby’s ears (less than a year old)? Would you get your baby boy circumcised? I say yes to both. If I had kids, I’d get my baby girl’s ears pierced at 6 months and get my newborn baby boy circumcised. I think it’d benefit my baby’s in the long run. I benefited from getting my ears pierced as a baby. All the boys I know are circumcised and they are happy to be circumcised b/c they find the extra foreskin repulsive. State your opinions below.

Other people are entitled to their opinions, but I personally believe that newborn circumcision and piercing a babies ears are unnecesary and selfish. Unless your baby has an infection or is born with an enlarged penis head that *requires* them to be circumcised, I think that getting a baby circumcised is just lazy parenting and not wanting to teach your child how to clean themselves, or doing it for other selfish reasons. And I feel the same way about piercing a babies ears, I don't see the point in doing something when they can barely speak when they could very well grow up and decide they never want to wear earrings or piercings, it's a waste of money in my opinion.

Id wait til my child asks for her ears to be pierced before even considering getting it done. My daughter is 5 and has never asked for earrings even though she has friends who have them. 
In the UK its not common practice to get a boy circumsized unless theres an issue at birth or if its a religious thing. The guys ive known have never had an issue with their foreskins or keeping themselves clean.

My son will be circumcised if we ever have one & my baby girl is due next week and around 8 weeks she’ll have her ears pierced. What anyone thinks of it is the very least of my concerns 🤷‍♀️

No to both for me. I got mine pierced at 7 when I asked my mom. We set up our appointment, I got to pick out the jewelry, and it was an all around great experience that I am happy I got to choose. Plus being older made it easier (in my opinion) to keep it clean and take care of it. 
As for circumcision there is no need for it. There is also no extra cleaning needing to be done compared to a circumcised penis. You should never retract the foreskin on an uncircumcised penis while they are young. It is actually still attached and is to only be cleaned like you would clean a finger (so the exact same as a circumcised penis after it heals). The only person who should pull it back is the owner of the penis. Even then you just pull skin back and clean it, no harder than an uncut penis.

I wouldn’t get an infants ears pierced. As they grow older, the holes could be in the wrong spot and not look right. I really don’t think you ‘benefited’ from getting them done as a baby.

They can get their ears pierced when they’re old enough to clean them and change the earrings themselves, which in my experience would probably be around 10-13. I thought I would circumcise my future son, but now after doing a year of research I’ll definitely have to make a definite decision. I don’t see a need to really force either on a baby.

I want my son to be circumcised as it’s cleaner and because of religious reasons. It’s not selfish or anything and the baby isn’t even going to remember it years later. I’ve seen 3 newborns get circumcised and the two that actually cried only cried for a minute and the other was asleep the whole time. And I had my ears pierced as a baby which I’m happy for. I’m not scarred or traumatized and don’t remember having it done. Piercings aren’t permanent, if you don’t want them after getting them done you can just let them close up.

I have a boy and a girl. I circumcised my son when he was new born, his dad had been circumcised as a teenager at his own request after researching the benefits so his opinion was very valid as he’s experienced both sides so we decided to do my son from that and with my daughter I decided to pierce her ears young just for the fact that sh wouldn’t remember it I don’t think there’s any benefit really and at the same time she may grow up and not want any piercings in her body so with that I don’t think it’s important to get done young
