depression during pregnancy

does anyone else get seriously depressed during pregnancy? my last pregnancy I was so bad I had a termination as I couldn't get any help. (this was two years ago) my husband and I are now trying to get pregnant. I went to the docs this morning and they have decided it is best for me to start taking some antidepressants now and he has also put me on beta blockers for the whole pregnancy. Has anyone else had anything like this? I'm really hoping they work for me and calm my hormones a bit :(
