Urgent Care? Or ER?

25 weeks with I’m pretty sure a kidney infection, hurts to pee, fever and pain in back. My OB is closed on Fridays and I don’t have a primary care. There is an urgent care walk in about 20mins away? That should work right? Doesn’t seem like an ER priority..

I had kidney stones a few weeks ago and my dr said if the pain got worse to go to L&D; but NOT ER

I ended up going to the urgent care and they confirmed nasty kidney infection. I saw a PA who gave me an antibiotic shot in the butt, meds and a strict talk to keep an eye on it and if anything gets worse to go to ER. Now I’m paranoid!

Just go get help. Kidney infections are very dangerous. I wouldn’t want to take any risks. Best wishes.

Usually after 20 weeks you can check in to your labor & delivery unit for ER treatment.

Try calling your doctor. My doctors has an on call nurse on the weekend. I had something come up on the weekend and was sent to L&D.; Ended up being hospitalized overnight. Don't think you're overreacting. Follow your gut.

I would call L&D; or your doctor’s after hours line and ask what they suggest. Hope you feel better soon.

After 20 weeks you should consult labor and delivery if your doctors office is closed. They will either have you come straight there or send you to urgent care.

It can be a priority in my opinion. Infections aren't the best for you or baby, nor are fevers. Either way, get it taken care of as soon as possible! Best of luck

I went to my OB and they said kidney infection well 24 hours later the pain was worse meds not working and went to ER had kidney stones which I guess are common in pregnancy !
