Does it go away?

After having my first baby I can't imagine the want I feel to have more children will ever go away. Will I know when my family is done or will I spend the rest of my life longing for more children?

After #2 I knew I wanted a 3rd. It took 8 years, but #3 is now here and my family feels complete.

I have 2 children and we’re trying for #3. I really believe that as long as you are able to have children you will want more! It’s up to you and your partner to decide when you’re really done making babies. We will be finished after 3, mostly because my oldest will be 7 and I don’t want an age gap of more than that between her and the youngest.

I always said I only wanted 2 and no more. However my youngest is now almost 3 months old and I can’t wait to have a third.

I wonder this a lot too. I only want 2 and my SO has agreed to that but I’m worried after #2 I’ll still want another. I loved being pregnant and I love the newborn stage, makes me extra scared I’ll keep wanting to do it over and over.

I have posted this exact question. I have 1, we have agreed on 3 but I know I will want more after 3. I keep telling my husband I think the 3rd pregnancy will be twins because in my heart i feel like I will have 4 babies ... I think that is normal for the human species.

I was in the same boat! After I had my first I couldn’t imagine going through childbirth again! I’m at the point now (my LO is 3 months) where if we wanted to have another child I would be ok with trying again. We also have talked about it and if it didn’t happen, we would be ok with one child.
