Do you ever feel like people who have a negative energy bring down a room?

So a family member of mine who struggles with a personality disorder has this way about them that just fills the room with a negative energy. The way they act, behave, talk, & just their general presence is off putting to me and I always feel like it weighs the room down. I know they can’t help some of their mental health issues like their anxiety in social situations. But something about how they are as a person just seems to always fill the room with tension and negativity. When I look at them they just kind of look dead inside, they just have this way about them that drags everything down and it’s off putting. I don’t want to offend anyone, but honestly I’m just curious if anyone feels this way about certain people. Once they leave the room or aren’t around the room seems to relax and just have a better feeling about it.
