Is there a difference between loving and being in love with your partner?

Starting to feel like things haven’t felt the same with my partner recently even though little has changed, wondering if people feel like there’s a difference being in love with someone and loving them in a relationship? Has anyone else felt the same or have any advice on this?

Well sure.
I love my ex husband. We spent 10 years together and he’s the father of my children. 
I’m not in love with him, don’t want him romantically, and don’t want him in my house.

That feeling of being in love is the infatuation part of it. When the infatuation wears off, you must choose to love the person you’re with continually every day and try to remember why you were so infatuated to begin with. If you don’t, that’s when things will go downhill quickly. If you don’t feel that connection like you had in the beginning, try to rekindle that and re-connect emotionally to see if you can get it back. You have to keep working on it through the life of the relationship. Otherwise, I do believe that you can love someone and not have that infatuation that makes you feel head over heels in love. It’s just a choice you make.
