There’s no plugs in the bathroom of my new apartment. Is this normal?

I’ve just never seen a bathroom not have plugs. Is there a way to maybe get some sort of power in there safely? Or?

I think it’s a bit odd for an American house 🤷‍♀️ not sure where you’re located. Between electric toothbrushes, electric razors, hair styling tools, etc. there are a lot of things you would need a plug for in a bathroom.

I had a bathroom in Oslo once that only had a plug on the side of the fluorescent light over the sink. took me days to find it

Yes you can have plugs installed. Just make sure you have great ventilation/exhaust fan to control steam, etc.

Normally there are plugs in bathrooms, but if there isn’t, what you can do is get a long extension cord and run it from the nearest plug outlet into your bathroom when you need it.

Yeah I didn't have any electrical sockets in my bathroom in my first apparenment, it's uncommon but I think usually found in older buildings.

I thought you meant bath plugs 🙃 yes it's weird there aren't any plugs, especially if it’s a bigger bathroom. One of the houses I lived in as a kid was tiny and didn't have any plugs, the house was pretty old as well though.

In our very first apartment we had 1 in the bedroom, 2 in the kitchen, and one in the living room, it was awful.  You don't realize how many you use until there's none.
