Really short periods. Normal??

Hi! I recently got my mirena taken out mid December. While I had it, about six years, I did not get my period. Since I’ve gotten my mirena removed I have had really short periods. In January my cycle was 2 days, and so far in February my cycle has been 2 days and I don’t think it’s going to go to a third. Has this happened to anyone? Before I got my mirena my period would last 5 to 7 days. Just curious if anyone else has ever gone through this. Thanks!

I’ve had my mirena out for almost 3 years. My cycles are about 24 days and periods 2-3 days. They are heavy for 1-2 days then very light for a few days. I got pregnant so they stopped and came back doing the same thing when I was done breast feeding.

I had two Mirenas totaling 8 years with no period or spotting. After getting it out last June, my periods are 2-3 days of medium flow, followed by a few days of spotting.

I got my mirena removed in June 2017 after having it (and a replacement) for a total of 8 years. My periods are finally getting back to normal - about 28 day cycle and 5 day periods. Some people say you immediately are fertile again, but it’s taken some time for me. Just keep tracking! Use OPKs if you can and track BBT if you can so you can monitor things a little closer.

My periods were extremely light and not even ramping worthy. I conceive 3 months after getting it out and it ended in a mc. I believe my lining wasn’t thick enough to sustain a pregnancy, although it is hard to pinpoint the exact reason. I would advise taking vitex to regulate your cycle. Since I have done that my periods are  around 5 days and are heavier just like they were before I convinced my son. Good luck! I know your pain and frustration, while I really liked mirena I will never do it again.

I had mirena for maybe 3 months. My period is 2-3 days. Nothing to worry about ☺️
