Found out today that I have herpes

I was in a shitty and pretty much emotionally abusive relationship between December 2016-November 2017, but then cut off full contact just last month. I found out today that this POS gave me herpes. I wish I hadn’t been so blind the whole relationship and would have left within 2 weeks of dating. I feel like my normal life is completely over at 23. My only second relationship after spending an amazing 5 years with a true gentleman. I’m baffled how I got the short end of the stick.
