He's Here!
- At 38W 1D I went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling so good in my right side. I had a really sharp pain the day before and I felt a lump right below my ribcage. thinking that it was his foot making me uncomfortable.
- While at the doctor they checked my blood pressure and tested my urine. My Blood pressure was a little high and they found protein in my urine. I already had something called Polly which is too much fluid in the sac which makes my baby swim and move around more due to having so much space.
- While waiting for my results, husband and I fell asleep waiting for us to be discharged. a hour goes by and the doctor comes in. stating that I have Polly, they found protein in my urine and my blood pressure spiked up (preeclampsia, non threatening signs) I was not allowed to go home because I was being INDUCED.
- Now I wanted to be induced because I was so uncomfortable with this pregnancy. Seriously uncomfortable. But for the Dr to say" "we would like to induce you" I wasn't mentally
prepared. lol
- At this time it's late afternoon so the Dr recommend me to go to the cafeteria, eat and come back after due to a room wasn't ready. so hubby and I had the chance to eat, call our parents. after I went back and wait for a room and hubby went home to grab our bags (which were packed fortunately)
- Around 9pm we finally got to our room and things started going. I was only one cm so the nurses came in to 'ripen' me up. by putting a ball into my cervix and putting some weight at the end so when I have a contraction the ball will fall out when ready. NOW WHEN I SAY THIS WAS SO PAINFUL WHEN THEY PUT IT IN OMG, I JUST COULD NO HANDLE IT. I don't handle pain very well either.
-once that was done I was hooked on pitocin. things started to get going and I was having 'light period cramps' within two hours I was 3cm, nothing much was happening but my nurse will come in and check to see how much I was dilated. IDK IF IT WAS JUST HER BUT HER CHECKING IT WAS FUCKING PAINFUL TOO.
- By 11pm I was knocked out and was in and out of sleep due to nurses checking on me. they were nice and polite. I wake up completely from sleep in the morning which was about 10am. I didn't feel any contraction that night I was thinking 'this finna be a BREEZE!' BOY I spoke too soon. They started to kick in, but was actually manageable, but they were annoying. they were coming but I pushed through. all I wanted was a ginger ale with lots of ice and some food.
- By noon doctors came in and gave me the info about what's going on. they checked my cervix and I was already at 7cm. They also gave me info about epidural and breaking my water. they stated if I wait for the epidural and my water has broken it would be painful to go through so I told them give me epidural and then break my water cause mama don't deal with pain easily.
- So I got my epidural and it felt wierd getting it, but I got a button to press Everytime I felt pain. but being me I wanted to press it if it was ABSOLUTELY needed. I had to press it once due to Dr orders to get things going. not bad meda, legs felt heavy.
- at the end of 3 they broke my water and I called my mom to keep her updated and told
her I'm doing good and wanted a damn ginger ale. The drs then came in and told her I would call her back. she then said call me before you push. (I didn't too much was going on with drs and nurses coming in and out)
-By 4 the drs and nurses came in and stated I was 10cm and they can see the baby's head so we are a go to start practicing pushing. so we did. and my doctor was amazing, on TV Hercules was playing and he was talking about songs and college and how he loved the movie, like everyone in the room was in deep conversation and we were just laughing and such.
- I didn't feel my contractions at ALL and at that time I only pressed my epidural button twice so I had to tell them let me know when a contraction comes and I'll push. so my husband watched the machine for a contraction while holding my foot. while we all still talk about Hercules lol
-22 mins later out comes my baby. Oliver Parker. and a huge gush of water followed with it all over the floor. (it was so much) my 7lb 14oz little guy. I was determined to get him out as well as my ginger ale. he is so handsome and for carrying him for so long he is a spitting image of my husband. mi called my mom back and she was stunned because I JUST got off the phone with her. my pain level wasn't bad at all especially for a person who doesn't have a pain tolerance. but he is here
Oliver Parker Jan 25, 2018
- on his way out he wrecked my stomach muscles so my intestines we're extremely visible and it scared and creeped me out. you can tell when I had to poop. it was just horrible. oh and that side pain that I was having I thought it was his foot causing me pain. nope it's a fibroid.

(2days old with Dad)

(2 weeks old)
it is absolutely amazing what our bodies can do.
- 3 days later after being discharged I wasn't feeling well. so I went to the Dr. my blood pressure had spiked and I was now in a threaten area of preeclampsia. so I spent three more days at the hospital, was put on magnesium for seizure prevention and medication to keep my pressure down. I am now doing very well and I am home with my little man. While at the hospital my mom was taking care of my baby and those three days of being away from him I was so heartbroken. But when I got home I didn't put him down all day.
