tips on getting rid of cockroaches?

Those little german cockroaches... omg theyre everywhere. Its like an infestation. We had pest control come around, it didnt work. We have tried boric acid, it worked but only at reducing numbers. We used sticky baits - similar experience as the boric acid. Ive tried to just de clutter (our house isnt perfect but it seems really excessive considering we arent living like a pack of pigs) nothing seems to actually get rid of them! we bought those bombs u let off in the house and they seemed to be just like steroids for them they didnt even work. theyre mainly in the kitchen, we found a few in the bathroom, a few in loungeroom and i had one crawling on me the other night in bed, its almost to the point i wanna do this. Ive just cleaned out the entire food cupboard and cant believe how much cockroach shit was on everything.i just threw it all out.
