Baby Coulibaly arrived by an emergency c-section on Wednesday, February 7th 2018. It was a very traumatic experience but he came out happy and healthy! Leading up to the day before his birth, I had no complications or complaints during the entire pregnancy. On Tuesday, February 6th I went for my weekly prenatal appointment and with just 2 weeks left until my due date, I was diagnosed with Preeclampsia + high blood pressure which led to my pregnancy being induced. I spent a total of 5 days in the hospital ! 27 hours of active labor, I went through 3 cm’s of dilation with epidural and huffed and puffed but couldn’t get that baby down. Once we’ve exhausted all birthing options it was time to cut me open ! I love my baby so much, that I wanted to do anything to get my baby out of my body alive, so they laid me out and cut me open. Our healthy, beautiful, and very alert baby boy finally arrived at 9:47pm weighing 6 lbs 12 oz. Welcome to the world Uzayr Ibrihim Coulibaly
