Swollen ankles/feet 21 weeks pregnant?

I’m a restaurant manager and I work 13 hour shifts. I’m on my feet all the time so my ankles and feet are swelling, even my toes. But this morning when I woke up the swelling still hasn’t gone away from the day before. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else had bad swelling?

Hey, I work at a hospital and am on my feet for lots of the day. Compression socks have really helped keep the swelling to a minimum, and also help keep the feet and legs as comfy as possible.

That could be a sign of preeclampsia. Call your doctor asap just to be safe.

The only time I ever experienced ankle and feet swelling my first pregnancy was on REALLY hot summer days if I spent too much time outside. I would def keep your feet up as much as possible today and let your doc know as soon as you can! Those are long shifts to be standing for, are you able to take breaks every few hours to sit with your feet up or have a stool to keep one foot up at a time while standing?! Also try to keep up with hydration!
