Sex at 18?

Hello everyone,
I’ve currently started uni and am 17 years old turning 18 very soon (nearly a legal adult) and lately my boyfriend and I ( been together for 2 years this year) though have know each other for much longer, he will be turning 19, have been talking about sex. We were thinking of going on a trip together, being a new year where a lot us happening in our lives like studying for future careers and myself becoming an adult we are wanting to take a step further in our relationship.. sex. The most we have done is oral. 
What are some tips and advice from you guys? I know a lot will say just make sure you’re ready... but I guess the reason why I’m posting this is to get some insight from your first time and I guess how you prepared for it. I am not interested in birth control what so ever (the pills)

I don’t think this girl meant that she didn’t want to use protection, I think specifically  she doesn’t want anyone to bother recommending birth control. I totally understand you, I myself don’t like birth control at all and don’t recommend it personally. Though condoms are a better option especially starting off.

I would say if you’re not interested in birth control/contraceptives but thinking about sex, you should be thinking about becoming a parent too. If you’re not ready for that yet, and not willing to use any contraceptives either then I would wait. It will always be a possibility of getting pregnant.

talking is always good to start with.
if you are going on a trip, I would say try let thing go where they go rather then say: now we will have sex, just in case.
be happy and full of love and passionate.

You're nearly 18 you need to be more responsible. I've been on birth control since I was 16. If you want use hormonal birth control use condoms, and use them properly. If you're old enough to have sex you're old enough to use protection. Unless you want to be a young mum.
