What could this mean?

I don’t know if this is the right group, but I’m 31 weeks exactly today and I went in to my regular doctors appointment today and I did a urine sample and they took my blood pressure. My nurse came back and told me that they found protein in my urine sample, which they haven’t found any prior to today’s test. She also said my blood pressure was higher than normal, and I’ve never had an issue with that either. All she said was that they’re going to keep an eye on me to see if it gets better or worse. I come back for another appointment in 2 weeks. I’m a little nervous because I heard that finding protein in your urine and high blood pressure could be the start of preeclampsia?? I’m a FTM and I don’t really know anything at all. What could this mean?
