Furious

I’ll 31 weeks on Thursday.

Yesterday I was at work, working an event. When it’s over, I’m supposed to take a break and then take tables until my shift is over.

I was having Braxton Hicks contractions about every 5-10 minutes for 2 hours.

I asked my manager if instead of taking a break, I can leave to go to Labor & Delivery.

Her EXACT response was “that would be shitty for me. SOMEONE needs to take those tables..”

Mind you, she’s a medic and has 2 kids of her own.

I was furious and just walked away.

Thankfully within an hour after that, the contractions slowed down to about once or twice an hour. And I finished out my shift taking TWO TABLES the whole time.

I’m absolutely livid.

I’ve told my Director of Operations that I need to speak with him today and I’m going to let him know what’s up.
