What would you do?

So I finally picked a baby name and happen to have googled it along with our last name and what comes up is a sexual predator with the exact same name, 60 years old male in another state. Would you ladies still stick with the name? OR change the middle name? Or completely scratch it and think of something else? This is my second son but I have loved the first name since before this one was even conceived and it's after my husbands grandfather as well. Ugh 🤦🏻‍♀️

If its another state over, I say no biggie.  And this sounds terrible, but if that dude is 60, he will be elderly or dead by the time your kiddo is an adult

Depends on if he was a "famous" sex offender. If he's just listed as a sex offender I would still name my son the name I wanted, but if he has had like news articles written on him I would not name my son that. I guess it also depends on how popular your last name is. Uncommon last name I probably I wouldn't. Commonish yeah I would.

Personally there will always be someone out there with your name. Good and Bad. But don’t let that define your sons name. He will be his own person.

Why does it matter? There will always be a bad person out there with a name you could pick.

There are so many people with he same names out there. Unless it’s a “famous” one I wouldn’t worry.

I wouldn't change it. but if you're concerned,  maybe change the spelling of the first or middle name?
