wondering if I should go through with CVS testing... currently 10 weeks into my first pregnancy with no risk factors for genetic abnornalities...

Do they not offer blood work for genetic testing? From my understanding CVS or an amino are only recommended if something comes back concerning on non-invasive testing. I personally wouldn’t do this straight away as it is technically more of an invasive test.

I had a full genetic blood test done at 14 weeks. for peace of mind and to find out the sex sooner. my  insurance covered it 100% so I went for it.

I decided not to do the testing. Found out at 20 weeks with my second at my anatomy scan my daughter had markers for Down syndrome and they asked me again if I wanted to get testing done but I declined again because it changed nothing for me. Only you can choose and if you want the peace of mind that’s great but if it doesn’t change anything for you that’s great too. Good luck and congrats!
