False alarm!

I️ hit 37 weeks yesterday! Woop woop! So last night my hubby and I️ had sex.. we were lying on the couch afterward watching Andy Griffith and it literally felt like I️ was uncontrollably peeing myself! So I️ went to the bathroom and there was quite a bit of watery yet sticky stuff in my panties... I️ immediately though my water broke! 😳 I️ came out and told my hubby what happened. I️ know after having intercourse without a condom you leak but this was more than usual! So I️ decided to lay back down on the couch and a couple minutes later I️ felt more leaking out! My husband started to get excited and I️ kept telling him I️t was probably fake! But then I️ started getting tightening in my stomach along with what felt like stronger Braxton Hicks! I decided to wait a few minutes and more kept leaking out but the “contractions” weren’t horrible. I️ decided to call my ob and he said he wanted me to go to l&d; since whatever type of liquid I️t was kept coming out. We left and got to l&d; and they hooked me up to the monitors and they said I️ was definitely having some contractions. They came in and did a speculum exam and swabbed the liquid then checked my cervix and I️ was still 1 cm (been that way for 2 weeks!) they took the swab sample and did 3 tests... she came back and said 1 of the three tests came back positive for amniotic fluid so she wanted to do an ultrasound to see the fluid around our baby boy! She said he had a really good amount of fluid and that he was fine! All of the nurses I️ saw all said he was the happiest baby in triage and moved so much (yay!)! Well since he had enough fluid around him they decided I️t wasn’t my water and sent me home! I was so embarrassed and SO disappointed! My husband and I️ both had our hopes up that he was coming. But, at least our little boy is healthy! Only 19 days until his due date! Now, if only I️ could stop losing mucus plug and stop having these contractions, that’d be great! Ha this kid likes playing tricks on his mommy!
