What to do with this nasty headache? 😡😡😡

I’ve had this horrible headache for almost 3 days and it refuses to go away. I’ve tried to stay clear from taking Tylenol but I think that may be my only option. Before pregnancy, I had daily headaches but would do reflexology massages weekly which helped tremendously!!! Now I can’t do reflexology because it can cause early contractions I’m not sure what else to do. My essential oils aren’t helping me which is so weird to me because typically the headaches lessens within 5-10 mins. Any suggestions besides putting an ice pack on my head? Thanks in advance!

The best remedy I have found for headaches (mine are often migraines) during pregnancy is a “cocktail” of drinking a giant glass of water, having a little caffeine, taking a Tylenol, and a Benadryl. If you were to go to the er for a migraine (pregnant or not), they treat you with fluids and something like Benadryl or sudafed. They don’t treat headaches with pain relievers. Caffeine has also been linked to helping headaches. So if you can hydrate, open your head up some with Benadryl, add some caffeine and some Tylenol, it will should help at least some. Also try to nap in a dark room if possible. So sorry you’re going through this. I know it’s nasty!

Call your doctor ASAP. Headaches that were not relieved by Tylenol were the first sign of preeclampsia for me at 24 weeks. I am now 39 weeks and still haven’t had any swelling associated with it. Better safe than sorry!

Hey I suffer from severe migraines that can last days. what really really helps me is my bean sack😂 you can go to your local healt/natural store and they usually sell them or look online. is just a fabric squared bag full of little dry beans with a patterned cover overtop. you can put them in the microwave to heat them up and use as a heat compress OR you can leave it in the freezer like I do to make a chilled pack. I lay in a dark quiet room with it on my forehead and within minutes my headache feels at least slightly better. the weight of the bag alone helps even if it isn't chilled. they are made for this purpose and also help with muscle pain and when heated help with menstrual cramps. it's really great! I hope you feel better soon.

Go in and let them know what is going on. I have had migraines all of my life and deal with them during pregnancy. They will probably give you reglan (I am prescribed it right now) which is a anti nausea medicine but can be used to get arid of headaches in pregnant woman that don’t go away with Tylenol or other remedies.

I’m in the same boat i get bad migraines before pregnancy also. You just gta do the Tylenol or you’re gna be miserable! I tried to go without also and do ice pack on my forehead or oils and it just got to a point where it wouldn’t work.

Might be signs for preclampsia.. tell your doctor and if you have a lot of swelling is another sign
