Is my medication safe?

My doctor prescribed me Esomeprazole magnesium delayed-release capsules for severe acid reflux during pregnancy. My doctor said that it will not make my baby come out with any birth defects but it does have some side effects (which she never explained to me) and it hasn’t been studied enough in pregnant women to be deemed safe or unsafe. I’m reading online that you should only take it when necessary. I don’t want to harm my unborn baby.

There is virtually no research on medication during because it would be unethical you conduct. Having said that,  we generally know what medications are and are not safe. If your Dr has prescribed it, it is safe.

have you tried modifying your diet instead?
increasing water consumption
staying elevated affect eating meaning not to lay down until at least 2 hours have passed after eating

I take it everyday . I have not had any side effects . I’m 20 weeks pregnant.
