Braxton Hicks Contractions

If you’re already 2cm dilated and having more than 8 Braxton Hicks contractions in an hour, should you call L&D;? I don’t really time mine, but I am dilated and I’ve had constant back pain for almost two days now. The L&D; nurse said I was having contractions but I didn’t feel them. So if you’re dilated and you have 8 or more Braxton Hicks contractions in a hour, is that bad?

Also, Braxton Hicks contractions happen every time your uterus gets hard, correct?
