Just got our hospital bill

The hospital bills have started rolling in and we haven't even received all of them yet. So far we're up to $1500 for my D&C.; It feels cruel that my babies' lives have a dollar amount attached to them. That they're reduced to "single fetus" and "additional fetus" on each line item. That I'm being billed for more charges for losing two babies...as if feeling twice the grief isn't enough of a fee already.

Thanks for letting me rant. I think a bottle of wine is in my near future.
