My second missed miscarriage at 7 weeks TMI

Bethany

Hi all, i recently had a second missed miscarriage, my first one was at 11/12 weeks and i measured 9 weeks. Last time i miscarried at hospital after having tablets to get my uterus to contract and its was all over with in a few hours.

This time is was totally different. I wanted to share my story to help other woman understand and know what to expect. I will show pictures...so stop looking now if you dont want to see.

I was admitted to hospital to have a medical management of miscarriage on saturday the 4th of feb after having a 11 week scan and see no heart beat and measuring only 6 /7 weeks.I had been bleeding heavily since the previous morning so in my head i thought “it will be over quickly....my body is already trying to help it out”

Little did i know this would be my home for 4 whole days and 3 nights and my nightmare wouldnt be over

My room was clean...i had a bathroom and views of the court yard...most staff pleasant and supportive. Although i couldnt leave my room...i was a prisoner...because just outside my door was a open ward of ladies being induced with healthy babies!

I continued to bleed....nothing other than clots and tiny bits of tissue come away...the pain...like labour! Worse than the previous miscarriage!

I walked around the room all day...crying and sobbing and in pain! All i could hear was the fetal heart beat machines thudding away outside my door!

I managed to sleep a few hours the first night after being examined and being told they dont think its working....

The next day i continued to bleed heavily, the consultant decided to keep me in to monitor me.

I continued to have pain and bleeding....i continued to sob and try not to listen to the outside noises!

The next morning still nothing....just more blood. The consultant decided to give me a second dose of medication....another day of pain and more blood but still no fetus.

The next morning i asked to go home to rest. They agreed and said i must come back in a week and have a scan and if i pass anything at home i must bring it in.

Over the next day or so the pain would come and go...the bleeding not letting up.

Then on thursday the 8th of feb i woke up and felt “okay” so thought right lets get up and do some productive around the house...i was fed up with being laid up. My hubby left to take my son to school. I started washing up the dishes...then all of a sudden i had a big pain that wasnt going....i got half way up the stairs and felt like i had weed myself! I looked down and had blood everywhere! I panicked for a second....gathered my thoughts and prepared myself for what was about to happen!

I stripped off and got in my bath...no water in it. I laid there fir what felt like ages with these pains and blood poring out of me. Then all of a sudden after a few little pushes i felt something come out of me...i looked and saw the sac intact with the fetus in it!

I sat and cried for a few mins....dont know if it was relief that it was over or shock!

My partner then arrived home and helped me clean myself up and put our baby in a box to take to hospital. The hospital confirmed all of the “pregnancy tissue” was present. Its was finally over and we could heal. I will post now a picture of the sac with the fetus in.....i found no information about what to really expect when i looked so i am hoping this can help a woman who is also unfortunately going through this can have some sort if idea of what will come out.

It was about 7cm long and 3/4cms wide.

On a positive note..,i count my lucky stars i have a healthy and happy five year old son already. No matter how shit i feel at times he can always put a smile on my face 😍❤️😘

If you are reading this and have had a miscarriage or going through one now...stay strong and try and count the blessings you already have ❤️
