When did you start having sex again after a miscarriage?

It's been 12 days since I started passing the baby (took misoprostol). I'm still having light brown bleeding but my honeymoon starts tomorrow. I know the risk of infection is higher after a miscarriage, but I don't know if we should continue waiting, have sex with a condom, or just have sex.

Once we had an ultrasound that said the uterus was clear of products we started to have sex again. I was still spotting, but not much

Doctor told me after two weeks I had d&c; on 9th Feb bleed on and off and twice heavy cloth now stopped last Monday and had sex last Thursday with condom. Waiting for period come then start try again. Have a lovely time at honeymoon and good luck xxx

I had unprotected sex with my husband after I stopped bleeding completely. I got pregnant again right after the miscarriage. When I went back for my 2 month check up I was 7-8 weeks pregnant.

We had sex but used condoms. You won’t ovulate until 2-6 (sometimes even more) weeks after the miscarriage. 
I waited until my period came back before we actually started trying again. I’ve been taking iron more regularly and focusing on mental health and diet (veg but not always good about balancing and getting protein). 
Infection could be worse as it can really throw your reproductive system out of commission, in some cases permanently. I wouldn’t risk it.

Still waiting for my first period before trying again. But once I stopped bleeding and cramping we had sex again. It helped me feel closer to "normal" again and my husband, too.
