Unexpected confession of love

A male friend of mine just texted me his confession of love for me. He is married, but his wife and children live in Japan. I am a single mom who is divorced because my husband cheated on me.

He said he does not want to see me anymore because he is in love with me.

I'm a whirlwind of emotions right now. Angry at him, proud of him, flattered, sorry for his wife, embarrassed, sad, but mostly lonely...

I don't know what I'm expecting from this post, I just had to get it off my chest.
