First time momma question

I feel kinda dumb asking this but I just got my BFP this weekend so I called and set up an appointment with the obgyn office. The appointment is March 29th with an ultrasound. Is it normal for there to be that much time between? Should I go to my regular doctor in between? I recently moved to NY from NC and have not been to this practice yet so they don’t know me or me them. My mom goes there and I set up my annual with them a while back for this April but other than that have never been to the office. Just a nervous/excited new mom. Haha
