Kyleena IUD birth control

My gynecologist said my husband and I wouldn’t have to use condoms but when people talk about unprotected sex with the IUD do they and my GYN mean with the withdrawal method, finishing inside or both? I know this is probably a stupid question.

Posting anonymously because I don’t want to be judged for asking this at my age. I had IUD placed last week during my period.

Also please no horror stories, I am aware of the risks with the IUD both copper and hormonal.
