MoDi and MFM?

Hi so I’m currently 8+6. I went and got an ultrasound a week ago because of spotting and I have a subchorionic hematoma. They found heartbeats and I’ll post the numbers below from my chart. My question is: I have my first appointment with my OB on March 13th and I’ll be 10+4 that day. Should I ask for a MFM referral? What if she says no? After joining the Facebook group and looking on here it seems almost everyone saw a MFM doctor.

Yes, if it is not mentioned you need to ask. This is a chart for MoDi twins and how often you should have an ultrasound with a MFM. This is very important because MoDi is high risk because of the shared placenta.

Sure you should ask. It was basically the first thing my OB did when she saw twins. I didn’t have to ask. And if you do ask and she says no, I would find another OB.

I started seeing mfm at 20 weeks. I had two sub chorionic bleeds starting at week 12-15 weeks . They resolved on their own and I'm now 22 weeks. Hang in there I know it's scary to bleed etc but it is common in multiple pregnancies. I even passed some clots
