Gripe water?

So I was told to try gripe water for my daughter and I’m not fully sure how this works because it’s very limited on instructions. How long do I keep her on it for? The rest of her life? All it tells me for a time limit is to discard the bottle after 6 weeks of opening. I hate not knowing things.

It’s just one of those as needed things. It’s not a medication.
When my son is having a rough night with either gas or just being super fussy and not sleeping, I give him some gripe water.

I give my daughter gripe water when she has the hiccups and they usually instantly stop or if she's having a gassy day. It's just like if you took tums to help you. You don't need to take it every day you take it when you need it. There is a limit on how much you can give a baby in 1 day on the box.

She’s been super fussy lately and not sleeping and we got her on this new formula called Regulane which softens her stools and it’s made her super gassy so I’ve been giving it to her for 2 days now. It says on the box 6 times in 24 hours but it doesn’t say if it’s a constant thing or not that’s why I asked.
