Need somewhere to vent : UPDATE

Can’t post on Facebook due to current legal situation but the Australian Family Law system is a fucking joke. Can’t believe that they’d rather place a child in the care of someone who has physically abused their children (there is photographic evidence of this) over the other parent who has done nothing but love and support the child. All because they think that the child wouldn’t cope separation from their older siblings (no separation anxiety at all, not even a little bit) when they have other siblings that love and care for them who they absolutely adore. The child has never had a problem separating and has said on more than one occasion that the older siblings hurt them. They always come into our care covered in cuts and bruises that the other parent refuses to acknowledge. Their speech has regressed after all of our hard work the last time we had them, it’s beyond a joke now. Something has to happen or all of the children in the other parents care may very well end up as just another statistic of a flawed system.

Well when I originally posted this, we'd just gotten the outcome from the judge. It's been months and thankfully, due to some very shitty circumstances, we now have full custody. Unfortunately the Department of Child Health and Safety had to step in and remove all children involved. Sadly the other three children involved had to go into foster care.
