Has anyone ever broke up with a ex after being with eachother for a long time, having relationships after but end up being back with your first love which is your ex?

life isn't a romance movie. 9 times out of 10 getting back with an ex is a BAD idea. people generally think about all the great things that happened while they were together because they are lonely. What they fail to remember is the reason why they split up in the first place. getting back together with your ex is never a good idea

Usually I’d agree with all the comments above.. but it’s not always the case. 
My husband and I were together for 2 years in high school. We broke up and it was devastating for me because he was truly my first real everything. Shortly after us breaking up he realized he was wrong and spent literally 6 years trying to contact me here and there and I always ignored him and even got over him at one point. We both started seeing other people within this 6 almost 7 year time frame and then one year the stars aligned and he contacted my mom to see her. They always stayed close and kept in contact via Facebook even after he moved away. 
I was supposed to be in Napa Valley for a friend’s birthday but I wasn’t able to go last minute and I ended up being home when he came to see her. He knocked on my door and when I saw him it was like my soul was instantly at peace. I knew. We talked for hours that night and spent the next few days together before he left again. 
Then we did long distance for a while since he’s in the military and now we’re moving into our new house next month and expecting our first baby girl in July! 
He’s literally my best friend and treats me like a queen. I will never regret bringing this ex back into my life because it gave me my dream marriage, my best friend, and my little mini me. Depending on the circumstances, yes some exes should be left in the past. Abusive partners (whether it’s mental, physical, or sexual) should always stay exes and anyone who cheated or made you feel less than your best should be left in the past as well. Sometimes the right person comes into your life at the wrong time though!

Not a chance 😂 I was with that man for 10 years and if it wasn't for my two beautiful children I would consider the entire decade a waste!! I've never looked back and never will 🤢 I have heard lovely stories about this happening though for other people. Sometimes people need to grow separately before growing together again♥️
