Every time I say this my husband gets mad. Who else is guilty of doing this?

So this is probably silly, but I just wanted to see how many fellow moms when talking about their child to someone else in the presence of their husband say: “my son” or “my daughter”. My husband always gets mad (not actually mad of course but pokes fun at me) for saying that when he’s there. I don’t even do this on purpose, but do find it funny 😄 I will try to be more aware of this so I stop doing that in the future.

I do it or I say "get your daughter " my siblings and I also say MY mom and MY dad as if they I my belong to the one of us.

Yes! Everytime i say “i cant wait to hold my daughter” he jumps in and says “You mean OUR daughter”😂😂

i think we get so used to saying "my son" or"my daughter" to other people it just comes out naturally even to our spouse

Yeah I’ve always done stuff like that. Our whole lives my siblings and I have called our mom “my mom” even while talking to each other like she isn’t her mom too.

My hubs will talk to his mom and be like tell ur husband I said hello or sign a card “from your son”  🤣🤣🤣 it’s a family thing. We all do it now.
