I can’t tell if these are contractions or not

So I’m 38 weeks 2 days and tonight i started having sharp pains in my stomach. I can’t tell if these are contractions or if I’m just having a stomach ache. My stomach always has sharp pains when i have to poop and i did earlier but they’re still going. They feel exactly like i have to poop and I’m sorry for the tmi but i love an hour and a half away from my hospital so i just wanna be sure these are contractions before we head up. Ladies, what do contractions feel like and what are the other symptoms?
