Test on day 35??

Question

My doctor called today after reviewing my progesterone test I did on tuesday and he said I do ovulate. He also said to take a pregnancy test on day 35. Why would I need to wait so long to test? 
I did test this morning and got a bfn, I’m 10dpo. Anyone else been told that? My first round of letrozole.

Mine too. 
You can test earlier. If you get your period, you still need to test 14dpo+ before they'll give you another prescription. 
If you're on cd 35 and no AF, they want you to test. If it's negative, they want to see you to see if you're pregnant or need a stronger dose and possibly another medication. 
If you get a bfp before cd 35 no need to wait. Although I've heard some doctors won't set up your first apt until you're 14 dpo at least with a bfp

that would be a week or so from the point of a missed period. Your body needs time to implant and build up hormone that will show up on pregnancy test. If you test early, might be getting false negatives.
