Weight gain
Hey ladies! Just saw my doc yesterday for a check in. Last visit I gained 3 lbs and this visit I gained 11lbs. Haven’t seen her in two months, so the weight gain since my last visit is pretty significant. I am 25 weeks and she thinks it’s too much. I looked online and “normal/average” weight gain is about 15-20 apparently. She made me so uncomfortable about it. I am relatively active and was a totally workout fanatic before my pregnancy and have continued as much as my body allows. My diet has taken a little bit of a beating but I’m honestly not overindulging. I don’t even look that pregnant when I wear certain things. Do you think she’s just being overly cautious and strict?
Note: she told me At the beginning of the pregnancy she thought ideal weight gain for me was about 18lbs which according to my research was a little lower than I thought it should be. I started at a “healthy” weight at 123 at 5’3 and currently 137.
This is kinda what I wanted to say to her:
