Weight gain in the first trimester?

Did anyone gain a lot of weight in the first trimester but then even their weight back out by the 2nd trimester? I honestly feel like a whale already 😂 It is mostly bloat but I used to feel slim when I woke up but now I feel fat all the time

I did. I gain maybe 30 lbs in my first trimester. The weight slowed down somewhat in my second trimester - I gained about 12 lbs. I’m not 29w in my 3rd trimester and I have only gained 1lb and that’s water weight.
My baby is perfectly healthy and only measuring 1 week ahead. I passed my gestational diabetes tests with flying colors .
My dr said it’s normal for some women to gain a lot of weight earlier on in the pregnancy and then for weight gain to slow down in later pregnancy. Also I know a lot of my weight is probably water weight as I drink at least 20 (8oz cups ) of water everyday.
