In grown hairs from epilator

I recently used an epilator on short pubic hairs, the process was extremely painful so I stopped. My skin got irritated and I ended up with razor bumps but the next two days they were even more raised. How do I get rid of them? :/ also, any tips of long term hair removal for down there?!
