No first birthday party?

We have no friends or family close by. My mom and Aunt are going to fly in for my baby’s first birthday. I wasn’t going to throw a party because it’s not like there’s going to be actual party attendees besides my mom and Aunt, and my baby is still too young to know the difference. My mom thinks we should have a party anyways, even though it’s just us.

Is it weird to have no first birthday party?
