have you ever ghosted someone?

so I'm curious if anyone has ever ghosted someone, maybe it's someone you were talking to for a little bit or maybe someone you knew for a long time, and if so why/what happened?
(if you don't know what ghosting is it's where you completely remove yourself from someone's life, i.e blocking them on everything - like you never knew each other)

Was dating this guy for about 3 months , we were like best friends

Then he went to “visit” his hometown. He was supposed to be there for about 2 weeks . He barely would text me & would be upset when I asked him to check in with me every once in a while. After a while I stopped hearing from him altogether. His sister had to tell me that he wasn’t coming back smh.

He called me a few months later (I’m happily in a relationship now) & tried to make small talk but I dubbed him like the trash he is .

Did that recently with my ex bf of 2 years. We broke up about 3 years ago (actually he’s the one who dumped me 😶). So I moved on and he recently started sending me messages telling me he still cares for me as a “friend” 🤦🏾‍♀️. He would send me messages and I’d reply like a couple of days later and sometimes he’ll call and I wouldn’t answer coz hey remember I was the one dumped 💁🏾‍♀️. I’m still single from then not seeing anyone, so I genuinely got over him and moved on to better things. Well anyway I found out he got married sometime in Dec and I didn’t know because he never mentioned it, way I found out was that he would check my WhatsApp statuses on a regular and always comment but when I go to his profile it’ll be some old pic of his. Then the checking and commenting became a bit too much in Dec and I saw he changed profile pic, I zoomed in on the pic, low and behold it was him and the wife during nuptials ceremony!

I don’t want to lie I was shocked, I wanted to be the best he ever had and no I didn’t want him back. Anywho I deleted his number, blocked him and told myself he doesn’t exist anymore. The pic below is the last conversation we had where I had pretended I don‘t know who he was when he sent a message using a different number 🙈. I think he finally got the message, haven’t heard from him since then and I’m glad!

He broke me, and at that point there was nothing left of me. I knew in order to survive I needed to cut him out. Which I did. I healed with scars. But I know I wouldn’t heal at all if I hadn’t done that.
