My tattoo story time ⚠️funny and tragic⚠️

Soooooo I’m currently 17 and I’ve wanted a tattoo since before I could talk.

Here’s a picture of WHY I wanted a tattoo^^^ (me being fabulous and my dad rocking his tattoos)

So my mom said for my 17th birthday I could get a tattoo, and the day after I went through with it and got my very first tattoo.

But.....

It did not go as planned

I wanted to get the word “forgive” on my wrist as a reminder for myself to forgive others but more importantly forgive myself for my mistakes and my struggle with depression and self harm.

So it was a run of the mill tattoo but it had so much meaning to me.

Anyways, I expected it to hurt badly and since I’m a sensitive baby, I definitely thought I’d be crying the whole time. And I was so scared to get this tattoo done.

ALL of my family was laughing and recording and the stencil wouldn’t go on right. It took 6 times to be placed right

And then he asked me if I was ready and I finally said yes

When the needle hit my skin, I didn’t feel it at all. I didn’t realize he started until he got to the second letter, which stung a little buttttt I didn’t shed a tear.

When he got to the letter “g”, it started to hurt slightly more butttt I figured it was just the curved parts hurting more. He finished the “I” and the needle started skipping, and the machine broke completely.

My first tattoo, and the machine breaks half way through. 😂 Of course he apologized profusely and told me to come back when he replaced the machine (I wasn’t at a shop)

So here I am with “forgi” on my wrist for about a week, and I wondered if maybe it was a word in another language. So of course I turned to google.

And BOOM it did have meaning...

I was SHOOKETH because this meaning to me, meant more then “forgive”. Because I always forgive. I forgive and forget. It’s my biggest flaw, because I accept garbage and let it slide. It was time for me to remind myself it is 100% okay to let toxic people go.

So after my tattoo “disaster”, I found a unique accident that has found a home permanently on my body. And I could not be happier.
