Bacterial vaginosis

I’m almost 8 weeks pregnant and have been dealing with BV for the past 3-4 weeks. I go for my first dr appointment on Thursday so I’m going to talk to her about it, but does Bv have any links to miscarriage? I read something about it doesn’t increase first trimester miscarriages but it may increase miscarriages for the second trimester. Is this true? I’m really freaking myself out
