What do you feel is considered controversial, but it shouldn’t be?
What do you feel should be controversial, but is not?

Anything where we can debate opinions, and share facts and ideas. 
I wish posts about politics got more responses. 
I don’t like when people post about their personal life and claim it’s controversial. Especially since 99% of the time they want validation, not critical input.

It has to be a topic open to debate. Like topics with researches supporting all the sides to the debate. 
If earth is round or if the dinosaurs were real isn't debatable

This room is made for debatable topics. If its not debatable, against the rules, or more appropriate for another room, it doesn't go here.
As for the actual definition, its anything that gets a rise out of people.

If it deals with topics that can offend a good chunk of the population, can do actual harm to people, or involves certain rights people should or want to have that other people disagree with. Guns, gay marriage, and let’s sayyyy...showing your bellybutton in public. All very different controversial topics for very different reasons. I think nothing should be very controversial, tbh. At least I don’t think topics should be off the table or cause anyone to get heated. Even discussing something with someone who completely disagrees with me or hates me for what or who I am, I have never gotten heated over it. I personally enjoy topics like that with a person who differs from me. I especially like talking to people who are racist against hispanics. I am hispanic. I think it’s cool to have a real conversation with someone like that with mutual respect.

I think anything can be controversial, but if we’re talking in terms of this group it needs to be something that can actually be debated like others have said.
