Parents suing school district for bullying

li

This is the jr high/middle school I went to and my brother goes here now.

I asked my brother if he knows this kid, and he says he does.

I asked him more and he said he's only seen this kid being bullied once.

My brother saw it and shoved the bully into the locker and said "what the hell are you doing? Stop" apparently the bully is my brothers friend. He got mad at him for it but they both got over it and he hasn't seen him bully him more, at least not in front of him. He was under the impression that he had stopped doing it. I was bullied in 6th grade and I can tell you it never happened in front of teachers. So a part of me is like.. they should have taken him seriously and handled the problem but there's a part of me that's saying my teachers had no idea how much I was dealing with. If my brother is a student in the school and HE is not seeing anything, what does that say?

On top of that..

There's something happening in Oklahoma right now, teachers are protesting by walking out because their pay is absolute shit. I agree with what they're doing. My high school was low on staff because they weren't payed enough 🤷‍♀️ our books were falling the hell apart, missing pages.

But someone said "how are teachers going to ask for a higher pay when they can't even protect our kids from bullying"

Idk, I just want to see what you people have to say.

Poll question: do you think they're doing right by suing the school district?
