How long does it take for cycle to come back?

My husband and I have been trying for a baby for a few years now... we have two children 7 and 4. February 26 I found out I was pregnant Because iissed my period. we were so happy because we thought that we couldn't make anymore babies. on the 28th I woke up and felt wet. I went to the bathroom to use it and wiped and seen blood. we hurried to the hospital and the confirmed a miscarriage. I never seen my husband cry until that day. it broke my heart I did't understand why it had to happen. I still don't. i bleed fo exactly 1 week. still haven't had a period we want to try again as soon as possible but I don't know what's taking so long. I just wish this never happened. did we get to excited to soon. ugh I just wish I never found out maybe it wouldn't have broke me down so bad :(
