Am I too young?

So I’m 20 dating a 32 year old and he has his own house and I live with him. We have been together for 6 months and I’m still going through school. He supports all my decisions and doesn’t force me to do anything. But my mom doesn’t like him cause she did something horrible to me and him and he stood up for us and now is trying to make me feel insecure. Telling me I’m too young for him and he won’t want to be with me when I’m older.

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 32. We've been together almost a year and I'm still in college. I've never been so haooy with a person in my life. Neither of us have ever connected with someone this way. I dont think the age is a big deal since you're both adults. However, since you already live with him be sure you're both on the same page about everything. Have a discussion about any questions you may have for each other and just see were your relationship stands. If your mother has opinions take then into consideration but do not let her make your relationship decisions. Be open to input and put all the factors together. Overall though, love is love so if it works...be happy.

I personally think it’s a little odd. However, as long as both of you are happy and the relationship is healthy, who cares what others think. Your mom isn’t the one dating him, you are. If you’re okay with it, that’s all that matters.

are there risks to dating older men? yes. but its your job to watch out for yourself and it doesnt sound like youre in a bad situation. it sounds like you understand the risks (but lets be real every relationship has risks) and you are evaluating your relationship and not going about this blindly. always take outsiders advice with a grain of salt especially if its about people who have issues between each other. age is just a number. if he leaves you later then so be it. life happens. shit happens. youre an adult. youre entitled to take your own risks. appreciate that shes concerned about your welfare, but dont take it to heart. dont sabotage a good thing because of petty things like this outside of your relationship. if this doesnt work out, thats the nature of some relationships.that doesn't mean that it cant work or that you should give up

I feel like it's kind of redundant for your mother to say "you're too young for him" & then in the same breath say "he won't want you when you're older" ...my grandparents had 10 years between them & were together for over 40 years when my grandpa passed away. My great grands were together for 50 years until my ggma passed away & they had 17 years between them, my ggpa never remarried or saw another woman. Don't let others tell you what your heart feels or what his does!
