vomit bug, are we all destined to get it now?

we picked up my stepson from his moms yesterday and went to my sisters house for her daughters bday party. like 8 hours later he started vomiting and its been going all night. we know its a virus because his sister stayed at the moms because she has it too. so ive ran around the house with bleach and hand sanitiser and all that but it was like 8 hours of him around the kids and us without knowing and im curious as to if we are fucked

Depends... if he was around the kids and touching the same things as them and they touch their face etc... and they even say viruses are shredded through breath so if he got up close to them... it all depends on their immune system. All you can do now is wait. Stay hydrated, eat well, rest, and wash hands a ton! Hopefully you can at least prevent anymore spreading.

I catch stomach bugs if someone with a stomach bug walks by me. 
And I work in a daycare where sickness is being passed around 24/7 and I have stronger immune system because of it. 
But it does nothing for a stomach bug. It's like those are the easiest thing to catch. And it doesn't just get me, it gets everyone.
